Lumberjackin' the river

The river delivers John's wood, usually in the form of enormous cottonwoods, uprooted by erosion or high water, that float down the Mississippi certain times of the year. As the logs come by his houseboat, John ties them off and tows them to shore. From there, he hoists the big sections with his bobcat. He cuts and splits it and, after a lot of sweat and minimal expense, he's got heat for the winter.
